I experienced the giddiness at 6 plus just now while giving Sheryl tuition. Both of us felt giddy, but we didn't say anything until her brother came over and told us that he felt the shaking of the house. I was actually quite relieved, because I really thought that there was something wrong with me. It felt like I'm going to faint any time. Anyway, it is a sad thing for the Indonesians who suffered from the earthquake.
What has the earth becomes? News reporting about natural disasters, then about man-made disasters...Aren't human beings digging their own graves?
Alright, enough of this...
Many assignments are going to due within these few weeks. Presentations too. NIE is really torturing people. We aren't superman, nor are we time traveller.
Let's do some calculation why I do not have time for own leisure.
From Monday to Friday,
I'll have to spend 3 hours on travelling, 6 hours on sleeping, everyday.
Monday's lesson is from 11.30am to 3.30pm (4hours), which eats up all my lunch time.
I wakes up at 7.30am on Monday, 15 min for washing up, 15 min for breakfast, 15 min for dressing up, 30 min for packing my bag. I usually leave house at 9.45am. How much time I have in-between? ONE hour for me to plan what I want to do, and organise my notes and work.
During the travelling time, depending on whether I have the space to do my things (sometimes it can be quite crowded), I have to do some reading up on the notes, and what if there is e-learning? There will be more things to read up on.
After lesson, and travelling home, I reach home at about 5.15pm. After dinner, I have to rush for tuition. Everything will end at 8pm. When I reach home, and bathe. I finally can settle down for my work (still) at 9pm. To deal with my homework and stuff, I sleep at 12am.
3 hours for me to do work....all occupied by work...no leisure...
Tuesday's lesson: 8.30am to 5.30pm
Reached home at 7pm for dinner and bathing. Settled down at 8.30pm....for my work and project till 12am still.
Wednesday's lesson: 11.30am to 1.30pm
This is my favourite day, but often, it is occupied by project meeting. Don't forget, I have more than one projects on hand....let me count...currently, I'm left with 5 projects. At least, I can do some blogging, but mostly on work.
Thursday's lesson: 8.30am to 7.30pm
A very disgusting day....Reached home drained, so head for bed and no work done...
Friday's lesson: 4.30pm to 6.30pm
Still very disgusting...Normally I will go school very early to do my work (can focus better)...no time for other stuffs too..
MY ONLY REST DAY is saturday!!!!!
A day where I will try to force myself to not even look at my work. I just want to rest and enjoy my day with boi's accompany. However, most of the time, I will still bring my work with me, because I am still worried that I can't finish.
Sunday....a housework day....plus, continue with my work (eg. printing of notes, answering emails, organising the following week's timetable, doing any last minute things that I may forget).
Why do I write this whole chunk of my daily itenerary? I just want to prove that I really have no life other than work!!! I wish I can have more time for leisure, to go out without worrying about my work....to enjoy myself. But I can't. :(
Alright, I just wana go sleep now to replenish my energy for tomorrow...GOOD NIGHT, everyone!

Teaching demo & my stupid act.
Had my "wonderful" teaching demo today for Maths. It's kinda scary as I was being scrutinised for errors throughout the few minutes while I was presenting / teaching. It is really by luck that I managed to pull through smoothly. Phew~ Thank god it's over..
Another round of presentation next week, wish me luck.
Today, I found a worm in the bouquet of flowers. No wonder my flowers are dying. Out of curiosity, I fed my venus flytrap with the "poor-looking" worm. It managed to crawl out from the first two flytraps' mouth. So, I decided to give the younger flytrap a try. Indeed, its mouth is closed so tightly, that the worm has no way to come out. I was actually very happy...haha..you may think, "真黑心." Hold back your words till you hear the later part of the story.
When I reached home in the evening, I went to check out on the plant. I realised something weird about the flytrap that "contained" the worm. The claws are flipped in the reverse direction....I do not know how to describe, but something weird has happened. So, I observed the flytrap carefully, and realised that there is a hole!!!!! THE WORM IS GONE!!! The first thing that came to my mind is.....where is the worm? Then, I started to search for the worm. Looked into every plant to ensure that the other plants weren't attacked by the worm. Lucky it didn't, if not I will be scolded by my mom, coz her plants were attacked by pest due to my act. Guess where is the worm???
It's in the nearby sink! Why it's there...I don't know. My mom says the worm is thirsty. Haha. Anyway, I tried to use a stick to poke it, but it wasn't moving, so I assumed it was drowned in the water. But, when my mom wanted to remove it, it started to move again. Then, my mom used a knife to cut it into half. (I do not know why she wants to do that.) The tuff creature could still move even when it was cut into half!! Eventually, my mom wrapped it up and threw it down the chute. End of story.
So, my poor plant got a hole there due to the creature....my stupid act has caused the misery.
Lesson learnt: don't be so gei kiang.

Photo time...
The heading sounds like there are many photos to upload...haha...actually not.
First, yn's 21st birthday gift from San Yi...haha...all the way from China. It's actually a music box, but what's really amazing is the crafting of the whole upright piano. Look at the black-and-white keys, it looks so real lar..

Next, today is my parents' official 25th Anniversary. :)
Still remember I mentioned in my previous post about my secret mission??? haha. Yes, all the way to Thomson (boi's recommendation) to order a bouquet of flowers for my mom. Of course, it's on my dad's behalf lar..
When my mum saw the bouquet, she thought it was meant for the opening of the coffee shop nearby...which means, she didn't even realise that where on earth got people send roses to others' opening ceremonies? I could imagine that..it must be very funny. Anyway, the person who delievered the flower was laughing too..yar, ok. First time in her life receiving flowers, I think.
Indeed, the flowers are very nice..but the bouquet is a little bit too big. It is about half of my height....so, you gauge yourself.

The small note at the corner was 3 people's contributions - Me, boi and a lady called Sandee. It consists of 9 red roses and 9 white lilies. And of course, it costs me $100...and lucky I have a supplementary card, so the cost goes back to my dad. Hope he won't feel heartache. Haha.
Anyway, here is a photo of me with the flower... (-_-)|||

The photo looks a bit distorted because I tried to crop away the background...and somehow it turns out like that..anyway, it's really a huge bouquet.
My mum kept saying why waste the money as she don't like flower...but the ironic part is, she is grinning all the way. Haha..
Alright, I've finally finished with my Expo Teaching Lesson Plan...phew~
Shall go for a bathe now...and look at the time!!!!!
Yes, I stinks.

Slacking in progress
I've been slacking for the past two days...just do not feel like doing any work, but I have one assignment to submit next week. Haiz. Where is my motivation?
I seemed so disinterested with anything that is happening in my life. I tried so many ways to make myself feel good/happy, but nothing seems to work. What is going on? I just bought a plant. It's a venus flytrap!! My whole family was so excited over the plant. Also, I read up on this plant in Wikipedia, and I do find this plant very interesting.
For those who is scratching their heads on what on earth is this plant....
Mine is not as crowded as that shown in the photo...but it is exactly the same plant..
I love this plant because even though it is living in such harsh condition, it finds ways to make itself adaptable to the environment. That should be the way to live. Don't complain, just change your perspective, and everything will be OKAY! Well, I hope I'm as strong as Venus flytrap. I want to be, but not to the extent of becoming so cruel, like these carnivorous plants. Haha.
Today, I'm not satisfied with my run, very not satisfied. Perhaps I just recovered from my flu, but that's not an excuse. I shall continue to strive harder tomorrow.
Alright, I need toforce motivate myself to study. Anyone has any 武林秘籍 to help me conquer my lazybones? Please share...hehe..

A mission to complete.
I have a mission to complete tomorrow..haha...it's a secret, and hopefully it is successful. ;)
Today, boi accompanied me to school!! Not really to school, but to Jurong Point. We had a great lunch there and we went Starbucks to do our work. I think it is more like my own work, and boi just sat there and read his book. Thanked him for spending the time with me, though we didn't really talk. I was too preoccupied with my work that I did not know what was happening in my surrounding. I'm like that.
Mooncake festival is coming!!! I am not really keen in eating mooncake, but I do like the mooncake boxes. Haha. I'm always out-of-point. Alright, a lot of assignments due next week...so wish me lotsa luck!
I will try to post photos of yn's 21st birthday gift from my San Yi.

blocked nose + sore throat
The title is somehow quite irrelevant to what I want to post today. Haha. Just for your information, I'm still having blocked nose, and now, its good friend comes too -- sore throat.
I received an SMS from one of the SASTEACHERS that they want to go Bangkok for a holiday, and asked if I'm interested. They told me the air ticket is only $5!!!!! It's very tempting, indeed. However, I do not have the time to plan for where to go in the December holiday, so I rejected them. Sad to say, I don't really like to go to anywhere in SEA, except Singapore. No particular reason, just don't like the feeling. But, if I'm given an opportunity to go Bangkok, maybe I will go.
Well, the last time I went there was during my Sec 3 days...still can remember I went there with TK Choir people, and so unfortunately, 3/4 of the choir members got food poisoning. I was one of the unlucky ones. Perhaps it is this incident, I'm quite fearful when I have to have meals in SEA...haha...not even the clean restaurants k. So, after so many years, maybe the hygiene level has improved?? I didn't manage to shop during that time, because I was sick. SO,WHY NOT THIS TIME ROUND?
Well, well, well......let me go think about it first. Who knows, some people may psycho me along the way, then that's it. I'll drop into the trap again. Haha. Alright, anything about this Bangkok trip, I'll keep in view.
Assignment time. This time round, it's Maths lesson plan. :(

Hazy issue
For the past few days, I've been having some problem with my respiratory system. My nose never fails to block, and it prevents me from breathing properly.
Take today for example. My nose was blocked since early in the morning, and I had my Maths Test today. Wasn't feeling so well then, as I felt so tired, mentally too. Anyway, this haze thing has made my already blocked nose worse. There are times whereby I'm really gasping for air. The feeling is terrible.
Thanks to our neighbour, never failed to give us this poor quality of air every year. I'm really angry. The earth is dying, and yet, our neighbour still burns "forest".....The irony is some countries tried hard to extinguish their forest fire, even lives are lost in the process. Yet, our neighbours set fire on purpose to remove their crops. How much harm they can cause, do they know?
There is just no civic consciousness in these people. A bunch of selfish souls. If the situation affects only their people, then I have nothing to say....because, afterall, it's them who did it. But now, it affects not only them, but their neighbours as well...It's no longer a "household' issue...it's the whole estate!!!
What will happen if the situation is the other way round? If we provide such poor quality of air for our neighbours, what will happen? Why I say that they are selfish because they just don't put themselves in other people's shoes. Whatever, we have no choice nor control. Just have to bear with it.
Pray that I won't die of suffocation or asthma attack. *touch wood*

Maths Test tomorrow.
I'm having my Maths test tomorrow. I wish I could do well. Today, my name was mentioned by the Maths tutor because I forgot to do a small test online. So forgetful of me, I couldn't recall there is actually a test. Lucky I wasn't the only one. Anyway, think it reflected quite badly on me too. Sigh. Busy with so many things, helped friends to do the project outline, and end up no one telling me about my test. The tutor didn't even mention it until today. Whatever the case is, I shall start living alone. Relying on friends will result in being taken advantages of and not sharing their knowledge with me. It's a really sad encounter.
By the way, if you are following my twitter....you should know that I got a pair of Asics!! I super love the shoes because it just fits my feet well. Boi and I went Velocity yesterday. Having a motive in mind, boi just brought me to Running Lab. The person started asking me to walk on the treadmill, and she observed my feet, how I walk. Then, she asked me to jog on it, and she observed again. It's my first time running on a treadmill..haha..so embarrasing to say that. Anyway, it is so much easier to run on a treadmill than to run on road lar.
Then, she started to show me shoes and etc. I was asking boi, are we going to buy the sportshoes?? Then, we walked out of the Running Lab...and boi started his marketing skills on me, telling me why I should get a pair of running shoes. So, we went back again.
This time round, it was a guy. He measured my feet, and gave me two choices - saucony or asics. (Omitting the Nike) And after trying, I gotten the Asics Gel Kayano shoes...can't remember the exact series it is. Good shoes means good performance. I could run better and faster now..haha..
Alright, I need to start studying. :) Jia you!!!

I've just managed to complete my ICT essay, and boi will edit for me tomorrow. Finally, I can feel a slight bit of relief. Haha. Also, my GESL group has started to collaborate with the voluntary organisation...if successful, we'll be hosting the first part of our project next Saturday. Wow, things are going smoothly, and I love it!! Yes.
However, there are more work to come. Here's the list:
1. Maths Test (next tue)
2. Maths lesson outline (next mon)
3. Chem online test (next thurs)
4. Chem exercise (next thurs)
5. Chem discussion board (next week)
6. Maths group assignment - lesson plan
7. ICT demo presentation
8. Ed. Psy PBL - project work
9. Chem group assignment - test paper setting
10. Chem individual assignment
Why am I always run out of time?
Anyway, I'm anticipating next Thursday's ICT lesson. We are going to play Wii!!!! haha. Something to look forward to. :)
Hmm, I have nothing much to say le. My life is only occupied with work and study....sad right?
Good night, everyone.

I would really want to say....
a big THANK YOU to my dear boi!
Thanks for helping me with my school work, as I am very poor in my command of English. What's more is that every work I have to submit, it is in essay format, so I'm really dying. Thank boi for doing me a favour by correcting my language and helping me out in structuring proper sentences that are sound.
Thanks for helping me to train my run all these while. Even when it is really very inconvenient for him to come to my house here for a jog, he will make an effort to do so. At times, I do feel like giving up, but he is always there to encourage me to continue on. If I give up, I would not have realised that I can actually run so far. A famous quote from Lance Armstrong,
Thanks for lending me a listening ear everytime I'm feeling stressed or despair. I have thanked him on this before, so I shall not elaborate. :)
Thanks for helping me to dye/wash hair..haha..and helping me to wash the cutlery after meals. Helping me to pack my bag, reminding me what to bring, etc.
It is such a wonderful thing to have him in my life. I thank god for it, as finally, something good happens and is still happening in my life. :)

Struggle
Anxiety sets in again....I can feel that I am having difficulty breathing properly when I know that I still have so much things not completed.
I need to breathe normally again.
I
have
to
admit
that
I
can't
cope
and
I
need
help.

run, just run....
I had this sadistic craving....
while running,
I enjoyed my legs becoming tired after many rounds around the stadium, my low body energy, the perspiration that keep coming profusely, the panting as the oxygen from normal breathing is no longer enough, and I enjoyed going extra miles to stretch my body to this limit.
Yes, I'm a sadist. I torture my body. By the way, is it harmful to do that? Do let me know...so that I can stop before this craving becomes worse.
5.2km...in 39min...I need to train my stamina more!
It's really a lot on the mentality. If you tell yourself you can do it, you can. But of course, sometimes your body just can't go beyond it. Yup. That's why I need to train more. :)
The Mayday concert is still deeply rooted in my mind, and I just can't stop feeling sad that the concert is over. Sigh~ This syndrome is definitely not healthy. What should I do?
while running,
I enjoyed my legs becoming tired after many rounds around the stadium, my low body energy, the perspiration that keep coming profusely, the panting as the oxygen from normal breathing is no longer enough, and I enjoyed going extra miles to stretch my body to this limit.

SAR value, have you heard of it?
I'm sure many people have not heard of SAR value or seen it. My lecturer told us today regarding this important value.
SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) which is the unit of measurement for the amount of RF (radiofrequency) energy absorbed by the body when using a mobile phone. [quoted from SAMSUNG web page]
Look at the chart below...

to see the table clearly, click here
Take a look at your handphone guide book and look under SAR certificate information. What is it? As stated in NOKIA website, "Every mobile phone model is tested for radio wave emissions. A measurement is made using an internationally agreed method that meets government and regulatory standards. This gives the SAR value, which must be below an agreed level. Only mobile phones that pass this test are allowed to go on sale."
FYI, the SAR value has to be below 2.0 W/kg in order to pass the test. However, my lecturer told us that it is best if the value can go below 1.0 W/kg. Higher SAR value brings more harm to your body. Hence, before you buy a mobile phone, stop and think. Don't just buy a phone because it looks pretty or the specifications are attractive, do care about your health and safety as well. :)
I have just checked the SAR value of my mobile phone, i780.....it is 0.514 W/kg. Oh my goodness...I shall use less of mobile phone from now. Have you checked yours?
