A strong urge

I've came back from Taiwan on Christmas Day....hehe..still miss there a lot. How I wish I don't have to come back...oopz~

Anyway, I got my hair cut really short today...after so many years of long hair, I've finally have it shortened. It is the shortest since JC times...haha...coz I don't wish to spend too much time tying my hair or do some stuff to it...so *snip snip* Hope this sudden urge wun make me regret...haha..

Maybe I'll miss my long hair, maybe not...I don't know....but I wish that a new look means a new start for the coming year..haha...

alright, no photos, by the way....coz I'm too tired to keep uploading them..wanna see them? go to my facebook or friendster lar...ok ok, I need to do my stuff. :)

3 weeks more and I'll be in

TAIPEI! (with boi's family and relatives)

yeah, I'm very excited and at the same time, not so happy.
Excited because I can finally go overseas...hahaha....as you know, my grad trip...well, shall not bring up the topic again.
Not so happy because the day after I come back, I'll have to report to school early in the morning...arggghhhh~ Anyway, I hope the trip is fun....I planned it all k...quite a tedious job, but hopefully everyone will like it. :)

I can't think of what else I've forgotten to take note of.
What I've prepared....
- travel insurance
- luggage
- clothes (currently, it's about 16 degree C there), what type of clothes?
- notebook and pen (due to my poor memory, I need it to help me remember what I need to buy)
- toiletries
- a pair of canvas shoes
- printed airport check-in and hotel check-in stuffs
- passport
- money (oh yar, I need to go to money changer soon.)

is that all?
haha...too long never travel....can't think of many things...
alright, must prepare notes for next year's lesson now. :)

Tired, really tired

Yesterday was a horrible day.
I accompanied my grandma to KK hospital for some pre-op check-up for the whole morning and noon. Thank god that boi was there to help me as there were so many procedures, so many things to do and to remember, and of course, the crowd. It was also difficult to talk to my grandma, coz she just don't listen to instructions...haiz~ is it true that all elderly is like this?

When everything is settled, we took a cab home, and boi got home as he had a night lesson. I thought everything was fine, and even decided to buy a fax machine with my mom after dinner...just when we were about to buy our dinner, KK called again. The doctor wanted my grandma to go TTSH A&E immediately. I was totally shocked. I don't have the time to think, and hurried down with my grandma to KK and finally, to TTSH.

The A&E dept at TTSH was so crowded! Luckily enough, we had a doc's referral letter, and my grandma was attended to immediately. It was just another round of blood testing, to confirm. We reached there at about 7.45pm, and the waiting (as the patient's family member) was terribly long. As time past, I felt I was physically drained...I sat down and continued to wait...while my uncle was waiting outside the A&E...

Then, boi came over after his lesson...I was really glad. Though tired, I felt some comfort, somehow. Boi told me that my face looked pale. Yar, perhaps is due to my low energy level.

everything ended at about 11.30pm...(see how long we have waited) My grandma's blood test was ok...phew, thank god! but she's going for an operation this thursday....hopefully everything is fine.

Boi sent us home....I don't know if it was too brain-draining yesterday that I couldn't sleep till till about 7am this morning. I was still, very tired now, but I just can't sleep.

I wanna thank boi for helping me so much yesterday. :)

My invigilation at Maris Stella

My first 'O' Level invigilation was at Maris...I'll have about a weeks' time in there invigilating. That place looks quite isolated, and it's quite scary when there is no one in the canteen area, and etc.

Anyway, hope there won't be any problem...and yanxin is retaking her English exam today...hopefully she can do well. :)

Hope my overseas trip can be approved...

1st teaching

Yesterday was my first day of teaching, and everything went smoothly. Out of 20 over people, only about 10 attended. Well, I'm glad that there were a few who are quite concerned about their studies. They stayed back after the lesson for some consultation. Though they were the weaker ones, I hope my help given is useful. I wish they can do well.. :) I prefer to teach than relief. Students are more attentive, coz it concerns them.

After school, the teachers have to gathered in the music room to learn a song. Yeah, it's been so long since I've sung. I enjoyed that session. We'll be having this for the farewell assembly. Hope those students won't laugh at us. Then, I met boi to collect our passports. Surprisingly, Rozaidi was still working there!!! Shouldn't he be studying, or preparing for his exam? Anyway, I've gotten my biometric passport!! it's so UGLY! Gosh.

Last Monday, I had my body checkup at Raffles Hospital (by MOE)....Thank god that everything was fine...The wait was actually quite short.I spent only about 2 hours there, unlike my other teaching-mates, who waited for 5 hours. Thanks boi for coming to accompany me even though outside was having a downpour.

Tuesday, I had my first experience invigilating. Those boys were quite well-behaved, other than some that love to fidget..bo bian, they were boys, who have endless energy. So how you expect them to sit still?

Wednesday was Hari Raya. I had my leave. Went out with boi and accompany his family for dinner. It was a short but enjoyable day.

Somehow I'm used to the timing for my work...report by 7.20am and end work at 2pm..in-between, we may go out for our break if we are free..next monday will be a terrible day, coz all the exam scripts will be in...and I'm helping to mark the Sec 2s' science...

Ok, time to prepare my last round of notes...

Wednesday, September 24, 2008

A false alarm.

Had been busy preparing for a week just for today's Sec 5 revision, and last minute, our Science HOD came over to tell me that I will be taking over a Sec 3 class instead of going for the two-hour plus intensive revision.

Firstly, I felt a bit relieved, as I do not have to see those naughty kids, which I had been very worried about. Then, I felt a bit sad because all my effort is gone. Actually, not really gone lar...coz I can save those notes for next year. :)

Anyway, here are some pathetic photos taken for last week....
First, the Science and Humanities departments went to Marina Barrage for a mini learning session on 15 Sept (Monday).

The dam!

The teachers...

Me, Nadia, Soon Fong and Alex....the new staffs...of course, I'm the newest! :)

Me, if you can spot me!!!

19 Sept (Friday)
Our lessons end at 9.30am!!! Yeah, means I end my work by then...actually I don't have to teach on that day...so it means that I went there to have assembly only..haha..
Side track a bit, talking about assembly....we were having assembly, as usual, on that day....just when we finished our pledge, the sky started to turn dark...and drops of rain could be seen. I thought we would be dismissed, but the VP just continued with her teaching....and suddenly, a downpour! All of us were drenched. What a day!

Then, we travelled to St. Andrew's Cathedral for Prefects Commandation.

btw, the person that is accidentally taken, who is from 3ST, looks like my cousin, Kuang Jun...don't you agree? hehe..

still waiting for Alex to send me the photos...

Alright, I need to type out notes now. Will try to update if possible. hehe....

I wonder if boi is still reading my blog....hmm...

1st day at SASS

Wooh, finally got the chance to have some updates...haha...

went for a 2-day training course for teaching, and today, it marked the first day of my teaching career....
well, not really teaching...coz I won't be teaching for these few days. I'm currently preparing notes for the Sec 4s...my teaching notes...haha...I wonder if the teacher who is in-charge of me will approve my notes or not.

Anyway, I made a few friends in the training course....One of them is Babara, interesting name..having the same surname as me!!! Babara is my senior (also from MSE, grad in 2006). She went Chartered Semicon to work for about 2 years, and she said she can't stand the shift thing, so she decided to change her career. So happy to know her, just like a sister to me. We are both teaching the same subjects, so I think we will be able to share our teaching stuffs...haha. Today, she messaged me after work asking how is my day. She got into Springfield, and told me that the students in her class are very mischievous (trying to find a nicely phrased word for it), for express stream. I was thinking...oh no, I will be teaching the Normal...how am I going to survive. Anyway, I'm glad to know her.

In SASS,
Many things surprised me today.
Surprise No. 1: The principal leading the National Anthem by singing into the mic herself, without the background music.

Surprise No. 2: Lower Sec students really sang whole-heartedly, but I can hardly hear that from the upper Sec.

Surprise No. 3: I went to the nearby coffee shop for a "breakfast" with two other male teachers (who sat nearby). They invited me..haha...they are the more friendly one. What I'm surprised is, there is so much freedom..the only stress should be from the students ba...I enjoyed listening to them talking about the students, and the things that they did. Btw, their names are Soon Fong (if I didn't rem wrongly), and Alex (coincidentally, his surname is also Lim..so I know two Alex Lims)..

Surprise No. 4: I can end work at 2pm!!! Many teachers had disappeared by that time actually...and the two male teachers were amazed why I was still there at that time...when it was only 1.45pm...hmm, I'm really amazed. :)

Alright, I have to do my notes preparation. Those who have ideas on how to teach Chemistry well, and have any notes to spare, please contact me k... THANK YOU SO MUCH!

What's life like in there?

I've received the posting of school last week, and I will be posted to St. Andrew Sec School. My first reaction was, "What? A single sex school?? And next, a boy's school some more." Well, shall pray hard that I can mingle well with them...haha...

Pray for me, please. :)

The familiar voice

Boi called me yesterday...
I find the voice familiar and yet a bit distant...
maybe it has been a week or so since we last chatted on phone, i listened very carefully to every word that he said, and i seemed to enjoy it a lot!

It's weird...I used to find his voice irritating....coz he always disturbs me...haha..but now I'm enjoying it!??!!?! Think I'm missing him too badly, that's why.

How I wish that today is Saturday....

Have been at home for about 2 weeks...haha...after quitting ICA, i actually feel more relieved. Received gifts from on my last day of work....

A smiley face cookie from Fifi!!!

and

a keychain from Colynne....

Yeah, these three months I was really happy to have known so many people (who are all relatively nice)...haha...Thank you all for leaving a deep footprint in my life.

ps: I wish to thank all my friends and colleagues for the birthday gifts... :)

23rd Birthday

Happy 23rd Birthday to myself!

Grown up le...haha....this year's birthday, I'm no longer a student....starting to work soon and hope that I can lead a happy life when I step into the next phase of my life. :)

This year, on my birthday, boi was called for reservist....it's a bit saddening, but he has no choice too. Hopefully he is fine in his camp. Will see him in two-weeks time... :)

A sad encounter.

Something sad happened with a public, and it affected my mood the whole day.

There was this old lady who was looking for help for the application for the extraction of her husband's death cert. The whole story was like this (according to this old lady):

Her husband has passed away for quite some time, and her son's wife was forcing this old lady to sell her apartment so as to get the money. I am not sure about the whole story, but the desperation from this old lady's eyes made me feel so sorry for her. She told me that her son and his wife are trying to get the inheritance from their deceased dad, and the house is also part of it. It means that her son doesn't even care whether his mom has a shelter to live in. All he cares is the money...and what is left for the old lady? nothing! I tried my best to help her by helping her to fill up the form, so that she can go collect the extract, instead of making her travel all the way to other places to get the form filled with charges some more...that's the best I can do for her. Hopefully she can secure the place for her to live in, at least.

Yup, when she told me her story, I can tell that she is a very brave lady. Can you imagine the helplessness? No one is there to help her, and she is willing to find all means to protect herself from her son's wife. Being uneducated, being left alone without her husband around....where is she able to seek help? I admire her....she never cried, just tried her best to do everything she can to solve her problems. I hated her son for being so unfilial. She is really a nice lady...she is very polite....she thanked me and my colleague for helping her with all these, saying sorry for troubling us...and I am willing to help her to my best, if I can.

Sad stuff aside...
Hmm, I just realised that Rozaidi was also from TKSS...haha...today! we were both surprised...coz he was actually from yu's class (which is next to mine), and yet I didn't realise..haha..then we started talking about those schoolmates that we knew...and of course, TAN KEE HOE!!! haha...we had endless stuff to talk about lar..
So glad that I've made a friend. :)

First day of Kiosk work

*ahem*

Think my sore throat will never recover....
had been talking to the public the whole day...helping them to get their queue number so that they can collect their passports asap.
some singaporeans are just damn rude and inconsiderate. I just feel so disgrace to see them behaving this way, and they are SINGAPOREANS somemore..
well, I was issuing a queue ticket to this lady...and she was saying, "It's so stupid to have to queue for a ticket, and then, I still need to queue inside, when I had my APPOINTMENT. The government is just so stupid."

Hello, so what if you have an appointment? there are hundreds of people making appointment in a day, just like you, madam...how is it possible for us, who are also human beings, to possibly serve everyone IMMEDIATELY. And her number is like, 2 queues away, not even 30 queues. And she waited like, 1 minute? lidat also wanna scold government....can't stand her.

(interrupted by Zheming's MSN...the only few that are left in passport section)

and the other lady....asked her if she is here to collect passport, she dun wanna say...
den first, she put her IC into the print-slip-area. I told her it's wrong, and wanted to help her, but she don't allow me to take her IC. Then, she put in the correct area, but with the barcode side facing down. I told her, WRONG, is the other way round....she gives me a total black face, den can't even wait for the queue ticket to generate finish, she tore it away and walked off.

Hello, what's her problem? I'm providing her assistance, and she is doubting me? What's worse is, she did it all wrong. Like I wanna steal her IC or something. She is just making a fool of herself lidat.

Thousands of different faces can be seen at kiosk. I wonder whether are the signs in ICA not clear, or is it that people are too lazy to read the instructions and directions....many just commit stupid stunts there.. try working there and you will know how i feel.

Simple, White, and hopefully Nice

I realised I seldom blog recently. :)

Anyway, I've re-done another skin...and if you realise, it's getting simpler and simpler..haha. I just like simple stuff. Life is already so complicated, why make your blogskin as complicated as your life? ok, that's my point.

Little update about myself.
Have been doing filing these few days at work. People inside: Qui Fong, Yizhen, Jeremy, Zhe Ming and me.
It's pretty happening in the meeting room, almost everyday.
Zhe Ming reminded me of Adriel...yes, Adriel Shen in my Sec school class.
I super buay tahan him. He can link everything to one thing -- SEX.
Well, we think that he is just trying to attract attention, that's why he is like this.
Vulgarities were also part of his conversation, so you may think, "wah, there is really nothing good about this guy."
Hmm, I would say god is fair....he gives him a good look with a good body.
He is a gym instructor, so hope it gives you a rough idea how his figure looks like. lol. But not those very very big and bulky type, just nice. yup. that's the word, just nice.
So, he is overall, ok. haha. At least he works when I work, other than he is really slack at work when I'm not around. A bit CMI. I feel quite sad to say, he is my age, just 12 days younger than me. *sob sob*

Shouldn't have talked about him.

Oh, I'm invited for the soon-to-be-ex-EA steamboat buffet tmr...yeah!
Wow, twice of Coca steamboat in 5 days...肥死我!
and this friday, my convocation!!!!
actually, I wasn't a bit excited over the convocation thing. Just that I don't have to work on that day, that's what make me excited. haha.

more friends-cum-colleagues leaving last week and this week...sianz~
hope we will all still be able to keep in touch.
I love them all, really. They are all so cute lor...I can't be my age when I'm with them, but you may be surprised, they are not childish. I'm serious. I like sharing my experiences and problems with them, and they too, share with me. That's what friends are for. And they are really good stress relievers. They can come up with lotsa jokes to make people's day.
I seriously love this job, with this group of people around.

Soon, all will leave.
I'm wondering what life will be like then.

To: Boi

I know you are troubled, and I'm feeling sad that I have to add on to your troubles.
I know why you yelled at me that day...I feel bad to have made you so out of control with your emotions.

I'm sorry.
I will want to treasure you more. I don't want to regret.
I love the time spent with you on Sunday...I love your smile...I love your everything. :)

Forgive me.

The sacred letter.

I'm not sure if I should be happy, I have finally gotten the reply from MOE.
yup, I'm going to be a teacher soon...hehe...
Both boi's parents & my parents are very happy. For me, I feel quite relieved. :)

Yeah, hopefully I can perform well for the coming one-and-a-half year....Teaching my favourite subject, Chemistry...hmm, I won't be in time to go NIE, so will have to start with doing relief teaching at schools..what school? I don't know...see where they wanna put me lor.

and NOW,
I can finally sleep well....having a Chocolate fondue buffet at June's house...hopefully it'll be a fun one. :)
I'm happy to have this group of friends, coz they are all very concern about me, whether I got a job...help me think of jobs to apply...so cute right?
Anyway, I don't wish to lose them forever..*sounded mushy*

I'm glad that boi is back to school, studying now...haha...
加油!Wish him all the best. :)
he told me....我找到工作了,但是他失业了。
Well, he always pretend that he is happy, but I know he has a lot of things to 烦.
Hmm, I will start saving from now...finally can save money le. :)

alright, shall end here...

Hello! even if I wanna claim, who will believe? stupid...next of kin of a Malay, how can it be a Chinese who is not evem a Muslim? What accept as a scene of humanity. He himself is inhuman enough to con innocent people, like us.

Whatever it is, this post serves as a reminder: not to be greedy. Just remember, there is no free lunch in the world...even for TOTO and 4D, you still have to bet before you can win lor.

Random

have been slacking in work...eh, not really, just that there isn't much things to do these few days. Many temp staffs are leaving by the end of the month....so it means that there will be a shortage in manpower. :(

I wish I can settle down with a job asap, so that I can plan for other stuffs. Hope I'll get a job soon. Haiz~

Oh, boi's mum bought me the Nina Ricci perfume! Feel so paiseh, they always buy things for me. And I got my first Sony digi cam...haha....from the PC show. It's shared by whole family lar. Spent quite a lot recently...I will try to control.

Meeting my 3 other friends tomorrow! I'm super happy. So long never see them. I'm glad that they all got a job...hehe..yup, so I must also 加油!

Boi was expecting me to mention him on my blog...so here it is. He is busy with his work, as usual....a difficult period of time for him, and hopefully everything will turn out well. :) He is so cute!!!! I can't help it but to say it out. Maybe it's too bored with work, my mind tends to drift away and think of boi's every action, his voice, and his smile....chubby chubby..haha..ok ok, shall not keep thinking of him.

Going for another interview this friday. Wish me good luck!

Realisation

Boi is sick today. I was so terrified when his mum called me and told me he was puking blood this morning in his office. I just couldn't concentrate on my work, and thank god that he is fine. I went to see him after my work....bought watermelon and bananas for him....haha..it was really heavy...I think the combination of both is about 5kg.

I am happy to see that he is fine. I am happy to be able to see him. His mum bought dinner for me...feel so paiseh. Anyway, hope he'll recover soon. I realised that I can't live without him. It's not important anymore to discuss whether if there is affection in this relationship, but more importantly, I realise the love for him....the worry that will make me feel uneasy the whole day, just like how I'm worried over my dad...he has already become a part of me. :)

Alright, I'm very tired. Gotta rest.

will update on June's 21st birthday party (ICA colleague) soon.

Monday, June 2, 2008

Permed!

I went to perm my hair at ICON...haha..you can say I'm giving myself more trouble as I have to take extra care of my hair. anyway, it is still manageable. :) One of my colleagues thought that my wavy hair was natural...(-_-)||| Well, because I usually tied my hair..haha...

Oh, my phone ok le...it's the memory card that has problem, hence I got myself a 1GB memory card...abit limited, but I think it's enough lar. Went out with my colleagues (Jia Jia, June, Huimin, Lay Teng, Eric, Gary, Yong Sheng, Jeremy & Shahid) after work last saturday, for "bonding" session. They are a bunch of funny, friendly and noisy people. Enjoyed working with them, and they are all failed stalkers..haha. oopz~

Hmm, I know I will miss them after they left at the end of this month. Anyway, life goes on..hehe..I have learnt to 放开..

My parents bought my sisters, me, and our bfs bracelets...hehe..I love it a lot!

Some problem with blogger....can't upload photos...shall do it another day. :)

End here.

Tired

back to work...everyone says the same thing to me...."Wah, so long never see you leh." Haha. Anyway, I enjoyed the busi-ness in work. Though the air-con made me feel very sleepy, I still managed to pull through all. Yeah.

Today, an aunty who is close to us told us about some officers in ICA building...haha...interesting. We all have common feel about those officers. Some very important people came today to check on every ICA worker. Heard that if they didn't perform well, they'll get sacked. They have to go through interviews, and we saw them "studying" so hard, reading notes, etc. And the officers have to go through an online quiz or something. Wow, hope their system really can work well.

Yesterday's interview....
I saw my course-mate at ST marine. He was also applying for the same job. After the interview, the person-in-charge brought me to the shipyard to "tour" around that place. it was really quite "exciting". First time get so close to cargo ships. It's really an eye-opener. Never really thought of whether I'll get in or not. My mind is getting tired of all these interviews.

oh, my current phone is giving the same problem as the previous one. The memory card slot can't detect the memory card. haiz~ why always lidat? Different brand, still give same problem. Is there any problem with the phone or me? Feel sad over it.

Feeling tired...shall end here.

I love you more than what you can imagine.

A sentence like this is enough to make me touch for a whole day, especially when it is from the mouth of someone you truly love.

What is love then?
A simple four-lettered word, yet it bonds people together, affects their emotions, and even life and death. So powerful, yet the meaning of it may differs for different people. How amazing it can be to bring two strangers together, and even spend the rest of their lives together.

Boi is really adorable all the time. He has a simple mind, but he is always very true to people. He has a good heart. He'll give unconditionally to people who need his help. Perhaps that is why he gained many good friends. Something I find it weird....boi isn't anywhere near good-looking, yet many people that I know commented that he is quite pleasant-looking when I showed them his photo. Hmm, mostly aunties lar...so maybe that's the reason why he can communicate well with the aunties..haha..Anyway, from certain angle, he still looks not bad..hehe..maybe he has to do something to his teeth, complexion and his figure, before he can reach good-looking...haha...oopz~

He constantly told me "I love you" in the midst of our conversation. haha. He is really cute. He mentioned that it is the least he can do to show how much he loves me. ok, it sounded a bit mushy. And yesterday, he told me that he loves me more that what I can imagine. Hmm, actually I know. He always put me before himself. But of course, business is first lar...haha..I'm always second. *pout* followed by his family....then, himself. Really enjoyed every moment that I've spent well with him.

I missed going out with him, to explore new places....but fuel price is on the rise, we can't spend too much on it. Everytime, we went petrol station, boi will grumble about how much more he has to pay compared to the past. felt so heartache to hear that. Anyway, I wish we can have time going to different places together. I dislike shopping malls, actually. I go there only when I want to get some stuff. I prefer places like parks, hills, and some new places that I've yet to explore. Missed those days...I know boi always have a hard time thinking of where to go. We even quarrelled over such things before. So, I've tried not to hiam the places that he suggested. I just feel that we should spend some quality time together, the place is not a major issue. I'm still learning, and I wish I can be a better girlfriend. :)

Alright, I need to get prepared. Take care, everyone!

Air supply tickets

Thanks Andrew & Angeline for the treat to Air Supply Concert. They bought two tickets for boi, since they know boi love Air Supply so much. Also, they mentioned that it's a time for boi to spend some time with me...haha...so happy! They are very thoughtful.

Yesterday's interview was quite cui. Shall not make myself feel more sad. Anyway, I don't have much hope that I will get into the company. Whatever the case is, it's over. So, shall 加油 for today's interview.

I feel that I'm having a marathon. Gone for 3 interviews in 3 days. Hopefully, this coming one can be a good one. Feeling a bit tired over these few days. Interview can be so tiring. haha.

CONVOCATION 2008!

MSE Convocation 2008 will be held on Friday, 25 July 2008, 2pm.

I can only have 2 seats for my family & friends....hope boi can go. :)

Hope it will not rain later. I don't wish to be drenched for interview. I took 3-days leave from ICA. Hopefully no one is cursing me for taking so many days leave. haha. Alright, 加油 for the interview later!

Tests

Just came back from the tests. What tests? It's some personality test and test that requires lotsa concentration & brain....Yar, I was called up by CAAS to go for the tests. It wasn't an interview. It's something BEFORE the interview. They will notify us in two-weeks time. I wish and not wish I can get it. I don't know why. Just feel that there are really alot to think about before getting this job.

Anyway, I met a new "friend". A guy named Alvin. He was going for the same tests as me. Haha. We were chatting while waiting for the HR people to come. He's from NUS Mech Eng, fresh grad...Just met him, and yet we can talk so much. Shows how powerful his PR skills are. I think he will get this job ba. His results for the personality test seems much better than mine. haha. Yup, made a friend....and I don't think I will see him again lar..so, shouldn't consider a friend. Ok, it's confusing.

Did I mention that the reception area of CAAS is super big and grand? Such a big place, yet only one person, who is the receptionist, works in that area. Looks grand but quite intimidating. haha. Got take some photos, coz I know I won't be able to come back.

Tomorrow is another round of interview...followed by wednesday....wow! How I wish I can get into one of them. alright, shall not think so much for the present moment. Wish me all the best ba.

a hundred-dollar note

Dad handed to me a $100 note just now. I was shocked. I don't understand why he wanted to give me money. He told me that I may need the money to get clothes, food, etc. but I'm earning money from my part-time job...I can afford to pay for my own stuff. He just stuffed me with the money, even if I rejected.

Upon receiving the amount, I felt ashamed. I'm already 23, yet I still need to get money from my parents. I know how hard they have to undergo to earn every cent, that's why I needed a job so badly to lessen their loads. Hope I really can get a job soon, so that I won't disappoint them again. I don't want to.

Helping my dad is a necessity in my life. I don't understand why there are people who think that it's not their responsibility to help their parents out. Do they even appreciate whatever their parents have done? To even earn ample for shelter, food and schooling? it's easy to request for money by just telling their parents, but they don't know how hard it is to fork out the sum. But a small request from parents to do something for them seemed so impossible. Ironic! Hope I can knock some senses into them....

Alright, time to go.

Pray for me!

it's not an obligation....but I wish people can sprinkle some luck on me and ensure that I will not fumble later with the tests and questioning....Also, for tomorrow...

As the clock ticks, I'm feeling more and more uneasy..must be my nervousness! I have no appetite since last night, and feel like puking...haiz~ my heart just can't beat properly...anxiety is really bad for health. Hope I can do well.

ps: Yesterday is a special day. Thanks boi... :)

Thursday, May 22, 2008

Good news come hand-in-hand too.

I have a aim, don't say I'm very bo liao...My aim is to get healthy skin on my face....I know it's a bit bo liao, but I think that's the least I can do for my face. :)

First time in my life I saw glow on my cheeks after I wash my face...so smooth till light can be reflected...haha....but I still have pimples lar, can't help. Anyway, I hope to maintain this condition...with fewer/no pimples on the face..haha. Boi, you must also take care of your face...

I love boi so much!! He was supposed to go back for reservist on my birthday...I was quite sad upon hearing it. Why so suay? then today, boi managed to defer his date to 15 Aug..yeah! at least I can have an enjoyable birthday with boi.. Thanks!

Also, I received a few calls today. Those calls that made me really happy...anyway, I will not reveal them until everything is confirmed. :)

oh, boi's grandma is persuading boi to get married again...Now no money, how to get married? We need to start saving first before we can even talk about marriage. Wait till I get a job, I shall start saving with boi...yeah, will discuss with boi again.

Alright, time to bathe. Tomorrow will be a hectic day...FYI, in ICA, Monday, Friday and Saturday are always dreadful, coz the crowd is really terrible.

Update

Last Sunday, I went Mount Faber with my family and relatives. Maybe it has been too long since I exercised, and maybe I still have not recovered, I puked after climbing 15 storeys of stairs, followed by giddiness..anyway, I'm ok after some rest, and we continued. I felt so unhealthy.

pictures gotten from my sister's blog, coz I too lazy to upload...anyway, some of those were my contribution..haha...

The Henderson Waves!

It was a very hot day, as you can see....but I enjoyed the day out with my cousins...

met boi for dinner after that. I seriously misses him a lot. These few days, I seldom get to meet him. We were both busy with our stuffs. One week meets only once, for dinner only...haiz~ Anyway, I have my work to do to stop me from interrupting boi...and create less problem for him...haha..

Talking about my work, I'm currently working in ICA (Immigration & Checkpoints Authority)....everyday is like a battle, so busy, and never ends...haha. made more new friends these few days...so happy! Yar, I know...I always find jobs that is walking distance to my home...haha. Also, I can see some celebs, at times, when they come to retrieve their passports. ok, nothing more to say, other than lotsa OT.

On Vesak Day, I met hy and cy for KTV...I can't sing much, coz of my sore throat (then). It's super ex and the staffs' attitudes sux somemore, really dislike Kbox more and more. Ok, but I enjoyed meeting them.

Yesterday & today....work and work...never-ending. Nothing really boost me to go work, other than to earn money. Life is sad. I wish I can find a perm job asap. No photos of my work place, coz that's ICA rule....no photo-taking in those areas that I worked in! haiz~

All the best for boi's event today! hopefully it is a great success!!! *pray pray*

Finally got the time to blog

have been really busy with work...that work is really energy-draining! Feel so tired everyday...was sick for the past few days and still have to do OT...can imagine right?

haha...my friends have been complaining why I always not free...haiz~...not I want lor, but the job is lidat..First day of work, I ended up with muscle aches....I can't even walk properly when I reached home...lied on the sofa whole night, and can't even walked to my bedroom...see how pathetic...maybe it's due to lack of exercise ba..haha...but now feel much better...

I somehow can adapt to the life there..though very busy, the staffs are all very nice. Hopefully it will last. Made many new friends there, but all younger than me. I'm the OLDEST for the first time. They all don't believe k...they thought I just finished my 'A' levels...gosh! but some really very cao lao lar..oopz~ haha. they were all very friendly lor. We chatted and gossipped a bit here and there when we are free. That's life.

and finally, I really mean finally....I'm taking up driving. I forced myself to travel to Ubi to register from basic theory test..arrrhhhh..don't know if I should be happy. Very scared that I'll end up regretting. hmm...

Met Pei, Liying & Shiying last thursday....
I enjoyed it a lot! SOOooooooooo long never see them le..felt like I've been back to my Secondary school days. SW wasn't there coz she sick. more to update....SY, send me the PHOTOS!!!!

ok, shall end here...very tired...gonna rest soon. :)

Perception

Something interesting...my sis showed me yesterday....

Who do you see in the picture? Albert Einstein or Marilyn Monroe? Look at the picture...and take about 5 steps back, and look into the picture again...

The trick in these images lies in the way they are created. Take two original images - Albert Einstein and Marilyn Monroe, say, as on the previous page. The photo of Einstein is passed through software that keeps sharp details such as nose wrinkles but filters out gross features like mouth size. Conversely, the image of Marilyn is passed through software filters that do the opposite, keeping only her coarse features. In each case, the software breaks down each picture into its “spatial frequencies”. The low frequencies come from features that change gradually over the picture, like skin tones. Edges and sharp lines translate into high frequencies. Einstein gets his low frequencies removed, so only his sharp-contrast features remain, while Marilyn gets her high frequencies removed, so she looks blurred (see “The making of Marilyn Einstein”). Superimpose the results and you get the hybrid image, a face that looks like Einstein up close but Marilyn from farther away.

What’s going on in your brain when you look at these pictures? The standard view is that when you look at a scene, your brain processes visual information at different scales in parallel. By flashing hybrid images before people for various lengths of time and recording what the viewers said they saw, Oliva and Schyns discovered that there is a timing difference when it comes to processing the different resolutions.

The processing for coarse features, such as groups of large objects, happens fastest, within 50 milliseconds, giving the viewer an immediate general sense of the scene; then come the finer details like edges and faces, which take 100 milliseconds or more to register. If you caught only a glimpse of a city street scene, for instance, you’d tend to notice the buildings before the pedestrians.

To build on their discovery, the researchers wanted a more effective way to demonstrate this boundary between competing brain processes. Together with Antonio Torralba at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, they refined hybrid images to produce more enduring and reversible illusions, like the ones above, that depend on your distance from the image.

Isn't it interesting? haha. hope it will make your day. :)

Presentation over!!

don't know if I'm happy, but I know that I can finally sleep well...hehe.
Today's presentation was quite ok. Hopefully can do well...though quite difficult. my feet are aching due to a whole day of high-heels...I hate covered (new) shoes!!
I dragged my feet home, and I think I walked awkwardly, because many people were staring at me...haiz~ always 出洋相...

Anyway, there is problem with NTU studentlink again....it better be ok by tomorrow morning. Starting my work soon...as a temp worker...yar lar, I still can't find a proper job lar...sian~ Chatted with cy just now on phone...she slept the whole afternoon!!!! and called me when I was about to have my dinner...haha...anyway, I'm glad that she also do fine. Left with hy...tomorrow is her last battle.. 加油!

Oh, I bought a Seikisho mask white from Kose.

*photos from kose website

Haven't use it yet...hopefully it's good. I have quite high expectation on this brand...haha...anyway, if it is good, maybe I will end up switching to using that brand. that's when I got the money..haha...anyway, shall try first.

oh, hope boi will do well for his exams....加油!
I can help him jot down important points so that he won't have to read thru so much..but don't know if it will help.

*ahhheeemmmm*

Why do I always have sore throat just before the day of presentation? Maybe I've been practising too much. haha. Am quite scared of tomorrow's presentation....I just wish it will be over soon. Will do my best, but whether I will do well or not is another matter.

Went NTU with boi to Hall 11 to help Jian Tong with the move. Ate the food at Canteen 11...not bad leh..haha. Oh, nothing much to say lar...I just enjoyed helping people. So, must write it down to make my day happy. haha.

The weather is so hot recently. I really can't stand it. Can't even sleep properly, and yet we are not turning on the air-con...save electricity, fight global warming (haha...yar rite.) hopefully the weather will be more cooling tonight. I want a good sleep. :)

ok, boi's reaching...
we are going out for dinner..hehe.

Labour day

boi came over to my house at 10.30am. We met so early because boi wanted to watch Superhero....travelled to Cathay and PS, there was either no Superhero showed on that day, or the timing wasn't right. Boi was so sad, but I can't do anything...so we went walking around PS before we headed to boi's house to study (for him) and to read my FYP report...

we met Kian at 7.30pm...he was flying to Alaska, so we had a dinner at Serangoon Garden before we sent Kian to the Airport....he will only be back in September...
Anyway, I reached home at almost 12 midnight. My family wasn't happy, but I don't care. It's not that I don't want to come home early...

anyway, got a scolding from my mother (again!!!!). Boi and I thought she had become more understanding, but NO! She'll never change. I hate talking to her.....so hypocritical..when need me, talk to me like an "angel", and when don't need me, don't even realise my existence. I'm used to it. How I wish she can really treat me like never exist....everything also wanna put a leg into it. What's worse is, she always misinterpret everything...just scold like nobody's biz...I don't even bother to argue back this time. Just let her scold lar...when she used up her energy, she'll shut up. So, that's my mentality..I just turn a deaf ear.

I know you guys may think that I'm bad to my mum. I would like to say, I'm totally disheartened. I don't even treat her as a mother. I just do whatever I can to prevent her mouth from opening. I did help her out when she needs me, so I'm not heartless. The only thing I wish is, I wish she can don't bother about me and everything that is related to me, learn to be understanding, and don't scold me as a way to relieve her stress. So simple, yet it's never going to happen.

My sisters are the same...they always think I'm wrong. Because my mum treats them so well. Since when you can see her scold them everyday? never...since when they have to do housework, when they don't want to? never....Me? If I say I don't want, I'm asking for trouble. Since when they have to share my parents' problems? never...
Whatever. I wish to leave this family asap, if I am capable enough....I will.

Yup, that's my lousy Labour Day. On the whole, I still enjoyed it since getting my family against me is already part and parcel of life...haha. Oooh, I need to continue with my FYP slides....

Have a great weekend.

Preparing PPT slides

Just when I want to start doing my PPT slides, my mind suddenly went blank. I can't think of what to write....so I came here to blog something.

Saw many people found their jobs, glad for them, but sad for me. Anyway, i will continue to try.

Has been watching 妙手仁心 III on Channel U. I love Hong Kong shows! They are always so catchy, and make me addicted to the show by just watching one episode. The writers must be really good. haha. Hope for more nice and non-violent HK shows to come.

*mind went blank*

erm, oh, shiwen & pei pei are meeting me next week. There are mixed feelings inside my head. I am quite excited to see them, yet I am scared. It's been really long since we've last talked. 7 yrs? hmm, I don't know how this meet-up will turn out, but I am glad that I get to see them again. :)

Have not been feeling well since monday. I don't know what has happened. My body just suddenly don't feel right in the midst of exam. It lasted a while, and stopped. Then, from Monday night onwards, coughing comes with slight running nose. All lasted a while. They just come on and off. So, I don't know if I need to see doctor. Oh yar, talking about seeing doctor. My wisdom tooth is really irritating. It grew in the wrong direction, and my gums hurt over a period of time. I think I'll go see dentist after my FYP presentation. I wanted so badly for it to be removed. Stupid wisdom tooth! I'm ok if it is useless, but I'm not ok when it creates problem...

Alright, time for dinner.

暖暖

A song dedicated to boi...the lyrics suited him so well...hope he'll like it.

Red!

My new blogskin!

came up with red coloured blog...Just feel that I need some vibrancy added to my life, so I had this simple and bright blog. Hope it isn't too uncomfortable to the eye.

I pray hard that I can at least fit into 2nd lower honours....so that it will make my job searching much easier. Job searching is so difficult...haiz~ I have no mood to prepare the slides. How? So bored at home....

Exams "R" over!

yeah! finally...no more exams unless I flung *touchwood*...so happy!!! But there is still FYP presentation...hmm..that's aside.

It was a morning paper, and cy & I went vivocity to for Superdog and watched Harold & Kumar..haha..the show was filled with racism. But I still think the previous one is much better, more laughters. It humiliated George W. Bush...if it is Singapore, I don't think the movie will be up on screen. Anyway, lotsa dirty jokes and stupid acts of Kumar. Overall, still quite ok.

My sister had her first exam today. And guess what? she remembered the time wrongly. She thought it was a 5pm paper, when it was actually 1pm!!! She realised it at 1pm lor...people were in the exam hall, and yet she was still at home...how blur. So, she took a cab down. The taxi driver was really good. He tried his best to reach NUS within the shortest time (15 min). My sis was 20 min late for the exam, and well, she obviously couldn't finish. Haiz~ And she said, "I can't get A+ this time round...but B." Yar, actually it's quite sad. Hope she learnt her lesson.

Ooh, many things happened during the weekend....and I was glad that everything happened, and I still can finish my last paper well.

Boi called my parents on Saturday telling them that I wanted to breakup with him...he had a conversation with my mum...and I didn't know it.
So, I felt something is wrong when I reach home..why my parents and sisters talked so weirdly? telling me how good boi is...hmm, but I never expect boi to call up. Then, boi called my hp after he finished his work..I was hard-hearted then. I told myself that I won't want to get back as everything just feels so wrong. Anyway, I did sense his helplessness at the other end of the phone line..He cried, I knew, but he never said anything. I started to ponder, "Did I did something wrong again this time?" After hearing from boi, I decided that I shouldn't be so mean. So, we decide to start over again. (I know everything sounds so bo liao, but this time round, it really makes me learn a good lesson.) I sensed how much he can't lose me, and how much he wanted me to support him...

On sunday, my parents, esp. my mum, talked to me about my relationship with boi. She told me many things that I've neglected about boi. His stress, how much things he need to juggle with just 24hrs a day. She told me that my whole family likes boi alot, and they can sense how much boi loves me. He is willing to spend every available hour with me, instead of resting at home. My mum asked, "How many people can stand your mood-swinged attitude? If it is other people, they would have left you long ago. But boi stood by you. He contained your reprimand, and treated you like a baby." At that moment, tears trickled down uncontrollably. I realised how naive I was. It's all my fault, all along.

I met boi after that, coz he was here to fetch me for yum cha with his family. His gentleness, no sense of hatred, no anger, all melted my heart. I couldn't control myself, and broke down. He told me that everything was fine, don't worry. He even helped me to tell my mum about the "NIE" issue, when I had already asked for a breakup. He was thinking of me, how to help me, even when I was mean to him. I was really bad. Everything else is history....

We were back together again, but this time, I treasured him more....I don't want him to cry because of me again. "Dear, I'm sorry. Let's work hard for our future k...."

yup, happy again.
Sorry for the hoo-ha that I've caused.... *guilty expression*

Today is a bad day.

I was studying in National Library today. Taught a secondary school boy how to do maths, coz he did it wrongly, and I can't bear to see him keep doing the wrong way. Haha. I thought I was very kpo. Anyway, just when I wanted to delete some messages from my phone, I saw messages way back to year 2005. It was so long ago. Some daily little messages from boi, and they were so sweet. And when I scrolled back to the present, the messages were so different...so emotionless and short.

I'm very depressed, so depressed till I didn't eat my dinner as I don't have any appetite. Today marks the end of my relationship with boi. He didn't even bother to message me the whole day. Anyway, too many bad things happened in our relationship these few months. We were unable to continue with it. It may be a blessing to end it now, only that I can't think of a white lie to cover my sadness. He must be tired too. *take in a deep breath* I shall let my mood settle down soon. Studying is a way to forget about emotions, and it's a good way. Don't worry, I will recover very soon! :)

My house area had two cases of robbery today. So scary...I hate to stay in this area. Hope I can move out of here soon....move away from all the miseries and problems.

YES 93.3 still played "Bad day" by Daniel Powter. Wow, it fits in so well.

Ok, I need to get back to study....

Study.

Had been studying for Adv. Bio for the week, actually not. I just started yesterday, coz the past few days nothing goes into my head. So many facts to remember, I don't know if my small brain can take in the information. Anyway, I'll just try my best.

Last paper. I don't feel a thing, perhaps because the exam isn't over yet. Being a worrisome person, my heart is already racing when my mind reminds me of FYP presentation. Argh! At the moment, I really wish I can finish everything asap. BUT I was still halfway through only. Sigh. Shall not think too much.

My parents have been nagging, asking why I still haven't find a job. I simply ignore them, with a black face. Hello! You think it is so easy to get a job now? Not as if I didn't send in anything, is just that no company replied. My mum (always so authoritative) "ORDERED" me to go NIE. F***! It's my future, why must I listen to her? I don't want to do something that I don't even have a single interest on. Anyway, I'm still in search for work, so why should I just dump everything and go for NIE? Shouldn't I at least try out what I can get from the working world? I hate my mum, always! I'm 23 now, and she is still controlling my everything. And she still dare to say that she is not controlling me, since I've grown up. Rubbish! Whatever I do, and if she doesn't like it, I will get a super black face from her, with scoldings come subsequently.

Shall not talk about that woman. I will be very good to her if she just don't force me to do things HER WAY.

Oh, I've decided not to go for any grad trip. I don't have the $$, and I don't wish to travel now. Even if I go overseas, I won't be happy. I'm waiting for boi to be free one day, and we can go travel together...haha...I will start working after my FYP presentation (a temp job)....so that I can still get some pay while I'm in search for a perm job.

Alright, I need to start studying...very lag behind...why always lidat? haiz~

思念

I miss boi a lot.
Just realised that he is very stressed up, and yet I'm still giving him problem. I hated myself for making him cry, for making him lose his temper.....he is a very nice guy...he never lose his temper in front of me, only when I make him angry. I was bad. I'm very guilty.

He told me not to feel so bad, but I just can't forgive myself for all the trouble I've caused for him. I'm very sorry. I should be more understanding. I should be more independent.

思念是一种病,我认同。要不是因为思念他,就不会搞到这么多问题。对不起!

I really miss him, miss him so much.

The rose

A song that I've heard since those days in TK choir....

Part of the lyrics...so meaningful.

"Some say love, it is a river that drowns the tender reed.
Some say love, it is a razor that leaves your soul to bleed.
Some say love, it is a hunger, an endless aching need.
I say love, it is a flower, and you it's only seed.
It's the heart, afraid of breaking, that never learns to dance.
It's the dream, afraid of waking, that never takes a chance.
It's the one who won't be taken, who cannot seem to give.
And the soul, afraid of dyin', that never learns to live."

Study & enjoy

Last saturday I went over to boi's office to study for my polymer physics. I enjoyed studying with that environment....the feeling of quietness, with your loved one beside you...not feeling guilty, because he is also busy with his work. Washed toilet when I'm sick of studying...haha...(ok, excluding that. I just can't stand dirty toilet.) Everything is so nice. The only thing that is not good is, there is no food at that area!!! Boi and I went Tampines for an extremely late lunch.

He was there to collect some stuff, so we 顺便 had our lunch there. Mind you, the lunch was at about 4pm. Then, we travelled to TM for a mini shopping...haha...Boi wanted to watch the Jackie Chan & Jet Li's show...but I wasn't a bit interested, so I told him don't watch, coz it's a waste of $$...I knew he was quite disappointed, but I seriously don't want to waste his $$, coz I don't like to watch a CHINESE show with people speaking ENGLISH! so awkward.

Anyway, I saw the price of Nina Ricci at TAB....much cheaper than SASA....the bigger bottle is $92, where SASA sells it at $107 plus. The smaller one at $50 plus, and SASA don't have....Oh, then we travelled to Airport T3 again....boi lar, he super loves Airport lor. And I checked out the price of the smaller bottle of Nina at the Perfumes & Cosmetics..$80plus...oh, TAB is still cheapest...haha...

Oh, we had Sakae Teppanyaki again....within 3 weeks, we ate 4 times!!! oopz~
Then, we strolled around the basement area, and I saw yu at Mini Bits, with her family. Her nephew is very cute, but very noisy too...haha...Had a great time out...

Boi sent me home early because I need to study...anyway, it's a great day studying & enjoying myself...

yx just came home moaning in pain...She sprained her hip while having her SHUTTER RUN.. (-_-)||| yes, this is really my expression. How can someone sprain her hip while doing shutter run???? It's the first time I heard about this. Anyway, she had difficulty sitting down or squatting. All she can do is to stand or lie down. I experienced it before, it's really painful...my mum is bringing her to see 跌打医师, hopefully she'll recover soon.

Last paper to go, and seems like I'm nearing the end of my school life. Feel slightly nostalgic, but life still carries on. Alright, shall go study for Advanced Biomaterials now.

Hours before exam

I've reached school since 8am when my exam starts only at 1pm. You may think that I must be mad, why not have a longer stay at home? I don't know leh, just think that I will have more focus in memorising stuff in school. Looks like I've studied everything, yet there seemed to be some things that I've missed. Hopefully the fears are redundant. The waiting time is quite a torture, coz I'm scared that I will forget something along the waiting.

Oh, I've been to the new Canteen A....very nice lor....haiz~ Too bad I couldn't enjoy it, but I'm glad that at least there is a nice place in NTU, finally!

Alright, I need to get back to study just in case I forget anything again...haha...

Back from school

Just had my Engineers & Society exam....errrr, nothing much to talk about it. Can say I'm quite lucky, because the last-minute definitions that I've memorised came out!!! haha...but the rest are just words of my imagination plus a bit of facts lar..Paper wasn't very difficult, but you have to really memorise to answer those questions, so I just hope that I can pass this one.

Oh, received a perfume sample from my sister yesterday. So I tried it. I'm in love with the smell...it's

tada! Nina from Nina Ricci....

The scent is really friendly. What I mean by friendly....it doesn't have the smell-and-make-you-sneeze scent. It's a bit sweet. Haha. I love it, but the price is not very sweet. Shall buy it one day, for sure, but only after I got myself a job. :)

*love love*

CY was into the zipper bag too!!! haha...in case you ask what it is...

yup, you can unzip the whole bag and put it in your pocket, and zip it into a bag when you need it...

I bought a pencil case (model: ZM), the blue one with my name on..

CY saw it and said she has the intention to get one too...haha...so, we'll head down to Suntec after polymer physics exam this coming Monday. Oh no, then we'll have the same pencil case...I guess she'll get the green one...those army green (as shown in the pic above)...see if I got it right...haha...If you want to find out more about the zipper bag, click here!

Alright, shall start my polymer physics now before I end up regretting not studying it early, which is always the case.

Oh, my Nina Ricci perfume......hmmmm.....

Exams...

Last round of exams before I can say goodbye to my student life...

Still trying to find back the studying mood, but I super no mood when it comes to History. I wish I can remember whatever I've studied.

Exam schedule:
18/4: Engineers & Society
21/4: Polymer Physics
28/4: Advanced Biomaterials

I'm changing my blogskin after exam...coz this one is too inconvenient. I realised that I do get tired of mundane stuff easily...oh, how am I going to survive being an engineer??? Anyway, whether I will get a job or not is another matter. I just want a JOB that will suffice my living and savings, that's all. Why is it so difficult to find?

back to study....

Thanks for clarifying.

had a great chat with boi last night...he clarified some misunderstandings that I've blogged about previously, and everything seems fine again.

We talked about saving for our future (wedding, housing, children, etc.). Quite interesting, and talking about wedding, how many people can accept a wedding without wedding dinner? We wanted that, but it seems like our parents, grandparents and relatives will disagree with us. Then, we talked about having two wedding celebrations in a day. The afternoon one with our family & relatives, and the night one for our friends & colleagues. Simple celebrations may surmount to quite a sum (after boi's calculation). SO, have to start saving now...if not, we will face many problems after getting married.

alright, my progression in study is super slow. I really don't have the mood to study, keep forcing myself to read those notes, but nothing really goes into my mind. What should I do? Having exam starting this Friday, and hopefully I can finish the battle nicely. :)

3 weeks before I can meet boi

EA celebrated their 4th Anniversary last Saturday....
nothing fantastic or deserved to be mentioned other than boi promised me that he will have his whole afternoon for me, but I waited till 7pm plus before we can really have time together. Then, we went Airport T3 for dinner at Sakae Teppanyaki. The food was good, but I was too full to finish. We didn't really talk. I was upset that day, as nothing has changed...his promise was all rubbish. He didn't even realise how much I'm disappointed.

Anyway, I have really thought through, I shouldn't be the stupid one waiting for him all the time. Since he is busy with his work, then let it be bah..He asked me yesterday if I will run away if he focus on his work instead of me...I told him "yes, I will."

Yar, even if no one wants me, I will still run away, if I have the ability to. I'm not so 伟大 to say something that I know it's not possible for me to do. He said he has to earn a lot to save for the wedding...I really don't see the point of saving so much for it. Why not a simple one? Why must it be so grand? to show off? No $ then have a simple one lar, why throw the $ away lidat? not as if he is a billionair or something, not even a millionair, so why waste the $? I just can't understand how he thinks. Everytime talk about marriage, we always don't see eye to eye. Maybe I should not get married, and I don't intend to get married in the first place.

Enough of saying, it should be a happy post and not make myself angry.

On sunday, we went to fetch his family at Budget Terminal (BT). It was my first time there, and BT was really budget, there is nothing there, really nothing..Oh, his family went Hainan Island for 5 days. They bought me a hainanese chicken!!! The chicken meat turned out to be very tough, and my jaw muscle aches while chewing it. Glad that his family only went there for 5 days, if two weeks, I think boi's clothes can throw away le...you know how lazy he was? He don't even bother to wash his clothes, just throw everything there for his mother to wash. How hopeless..even my dad washed his own clothes when my mum went overseas k...I really have nothing to say about him.

Sometimes to think back, why should I give myself so much unhappiness on someone who doesn't even deserve it? We are too different. And I told him that I won't see him for these 3 weeks, and he don't even sound sad. I think he will be more than happy as I'm always bothering his work. If I wasn't there, he can concentrate more on his work. Why should I stay unhappy? he is not worthy. I can live well without him. The whole matter has been in my mind for weeks, and see how long I can bear. I still have a year plus to think of the whole matter. He told me that he will not allow me to go overseas to work. He also said that if I go overseas, he'll want to marry me first before I go. See, how selfish guys are. I didn't even agree to marry him. The more I think, the more I feel that we shouldn't get married. Do I love him? There is no more a yes or no, so much grey areas and I doubt I can handle.

Alright, back to study....super behind time...haiz~

Happy Birthday, Wen!

Had a great time spent with my girls on Monday!! Bought Bobbi Brown stuff for Wen, and we all know that she loves it. haha. I love the chit-chatting, the experience with the super spicy bake rice that wen introduced, and the Coffee Club's brownie!!! Also, not forgetting the analysis of our characters with wen's test. haha. Really had fun.

Alright, back to study... *dragging my feet*

Self-blaming

Dad had a good talk with my mum last night. All these years, he had not been speaking about his thoughts and feelings, and yesterday, he told my mum that he was really stressed. He became afraid of his business ever since he came back. When my mum told me that, I felt so useless. I couldn't even say, "don't worry, I'll get a good job and let you (my dad) retire." I wish to tell him to bear for another year, but I can't promise anything. I can't even secure a job because of where I am and my lousy result.

I've told no one that I do have a dream. I wish to have a home that I buy, where I can let my mum grow her plants (coz she did told me that she wish that she can have a garden of her own), where dad can have his karaoke system, drinking his coffee, and not bother about work. I wouldn't mind if I'm responsible for all the housework, if I have the time. I wanted to earn money to make this possible, and it's a lot of money.

The dream seems far-fetched, as I can't even support myself now. I really wish to get a job asap, to save and repay. But wishing will not help you get anything. Right now, all I can do is to do my part, study hard and get a job.

by a special writer...

Let me first introduce this special writer. This writer is basically a nice person. Two small eyes, a big nose, crooked teeth and a comical face. Also, this writer has a BMI higher than normal, and the only bad thing about this writer is LAZINESS. You may ask, then why ask this writer to write on my blog?? hmm, good question. I also don't know, or should I say, I'm forced to let this person write here. Hopefully this writer will write some decent stuff here and not scare/bore/insult my readers...haha...

Hi..I am the special writer of the month.

I am the person that XY loves/hates the most...I am not going to reveal so much about myself here. I knew XY since JC1, back then she was very nerdy..haha...but also very CUTE (she is even cuter now)...I really need to thank her for all the patience with me,never gave me up even though i was kind of lazy and useless back then (She still claims that i am lazy now..haha). I have proven to her over the years that i have changed for the better. I would like to say a BIG BIG Thank You to her and wish her all the best for her final year exam..continue to jiayou k. We will have many many more years (100 years) of happy times together!

Thanks everyone for patronising this blog!

Last day studying in NTU

Yesterday was my last day studying in NTU..cy & I decided to go Canteen 13 to try the korean food. It turned out to be good! We also tried the ice cream waffle (2 scoops + waffle = $2.90). So cheap right..CY was complaining why these stalls weren't up during her stay in Hall 13 in the past.

Yar, we were used to it. Everytime we leave a place, something good will happen, and we can't enjoy. Like in NYJC, the new building was up only after we left. We had to bear with the container classrooms, and the isolated canteen. It was worse when it rained. Oh, terrible. But the experience was quite unique lar...Received an email from NTU a few days ago, telling us that the new Canteen A will have Subway, Old Chang Kee, Canadian Pizza, Sakae Sushi, etc, next week. WTH! I can't even enjoy it. Ok, shall not complain too much.

Side note: Exam is coming really soon. Hope I can adjust my mood and study really hard for it. Haha.

Then, I travelled back home before I meet boi. It started to rain heavily, and I was so glad that I was home as I could take out my files and notes to lessen my bag's load. Also, I could bring a huge umbrella to ensure that I won't be drenched. The travelling was quite a problem. When I reached Eunos, the bus stop was packed with people & FLOODED! My poor feet had to be soaked into those dirty water. I wasn't scared of rain, but I was scared of the flood. You can see those cigarettes floating around, water was greyish to black, and some uncles just spitted on the floor. Yucks! What's worse is, there was one driver purposely drove past, and splashed the DIRTY water on us! I was quite lucky, as other people, who were quite kiasu and stood very near the edge of the bus stop, helped me to block the water. They were yelling at the driver.

After I finally reached the desired destination, it wasn't over. There is a stretch of road that I have to walk before I reach boi's office. The flood was still around, but better. BUT, there were oil stains around. You know, when oil comes into contact with water, it floats and you can see "colourful" water. Half of the stretch was basically like that. *terrible*

To digress, there was this taxi driver who purposely drove very fast when I was crossing one of the small roads. He did saw me, and he sped. I seriously hated these taxi drivers. Not that I had anything against them, but you can ask most of the drivers, these taxi drivers are always the one giving problems, like causing traffic jams. They can cross over from the first lane to the last lane to get passengers, and you know how dangerous it is. Can't blame them, coz they need to earn $. But I do think some were really bad. They parked at my house area without paying and happily sat there for coffee and chat. It wasn't one or two, but many. The poor residents like US do not have a lot to park. And I'm super glad that the gantries were up since 1st of April. Hopefully, this can deter those taxi drivers. Haha.

oh, back again. I met boi for a dinner at Bugis. It sounded quite stupid lar, I stayed so near Bugis, and I had to make a trip down to eunos to eat at bugis. Anyway, we had Sakae teppanyaki for the second time. I think I was addicted to the food there. Oishi! yar, I think that Sakae did make a right decision on opening teppanyaki restaurant. This is much better than the sushi one...haha...coz I don't like to eat sushi lar. For the time being, I don't think I will go back, because exams coming. I won't enjoy the food as much. You guys should really go and try. It's so much better. I prefer the beef set one to the seafood set, and the garlic rice is a must-try. Though from what I see, the garlic rice don't worth the price, coz you know, GARLIC leh, how expensive it can be right? But it was really good lar. Nice food, and you can see those chefs cook the food in front of you. They must be really zai to do this lar. If not, they will be performing acrobatics more like cooking le.

Ok, enough of the talking. Tomorrow is Saturday!!! I was thinking what I want to do....Shall have some planning now.

Bad weather

Was having a downpour just now, and now, it's so hot and stuffy..

Well, just finished my online lectures...there are more to come...
just quite sick of staring at my computer screen for hours, listening to the so not-interesting lectures. On top of that, the tone of the lecturer makes me really bored! but I still managed to pull through. What an achievement!

Yesterday was my xiao mei's birthday. She was complaining why I didn't give her anything this year, but I don't care. Hello, I don't have any input yet, so I can only treat her drinks...haha..Talking about her, she became quite hardworking ever since she came into JC. Hopefully this will last long (that's what everyone says).

Quiz coming, and I'm still not done with my study. Exams coming, yet still have a lot of online lectures to go through. I seemed unmotivated with my study recently, but I'm stopping this negative mindset. Hope I'll have enough energy to pull through all these. I'm feeling tired easily, must be the weather...and bad things don't come alone...whenever you have loads of things to fan, other stuffs just come and irritate you further. Why can't people be more understanding? Yar, we are all selfish by nature. I am. Whatever. I'm not in the position to judge people, nor can I pin-point people, so I should just let it be. I believe, everything will eventually put a stop to it, just a matter of time. So, must be strong.

Alright, time for dinner.

Sport activity

I didn't know my casual remark will trigger my friend to take into action...haha..I was suggesting to cy that I feel like playing badminton during polymer physics lecture yesterday, and she suddenly very ON lor...we checked the friday schedule, and we two got no Debit card or credit card *don't laugh*, so we travelled all the way to toa payoh to book!!! Well, other places were booked..

When we reached there and registered, the rain started to pour. That aunty that helped us register told us the route to the nearest bus stop, so that we can take back to the interchange. So, we happily follow her instructions, and along the way, the strong wind blew and the rain was on US! What's the point of having shelter? you can literally see the rain splashed onto the sheltered areas. Then, we lost our way. Where was the bus stop? A group of Sec-one-look-a-like students walked past, joking and playing with their umbrellas. We asked them for the directions, and ended up seeing a whole stretch of route to the bus stop WITHOUT shelter!!! What's that aunty thinking? I would rather ran to the traffic lights and get across to opposite side, and can save a trip of bus travel. So, we walked back to the community centre, and were stucked there.

So, we had our lunch there...
hynotising ourselves on how "tasty" the food is...
look at the food!!! the servings were for both of us lar..

Waited for the rain to cease before we walked back to the central. Both of us got our hp straps, I "stole" her green one...haha...then she had to take the blue one...coz she was super fickle-minded..can't decide what colour she want. Then, I chose mine first lor...at first I chose the blue one, then we saw the green one, so I changed to green. She was still choosing her colours then...finally, when she decided on the green one, the two were defective...so, she bo bian had to choose the blue one...so, somehow i stole hers...haha..

Just had my badminton "friendly" match with cy in the morning...so tired now...don't feel like sleeping, coz it seems like a waste of time...anyway, I feel like meeting boi tonight, but I think he can't. hmm, never mind. Shall not ask, don't wish to feel disappointed..hehe...oh no, my left eye seemed to kena infection. It felt better today...was very bad yesterday, a bit pain somemore. Hopefully it will heal soon.

I miss boi....hope to see him asap. haha. not possible, I know.

Very random

Some photos that boi's sister sent me yesterday...

Boi's grandmother with her grand children and me (extra)... :)

Last saturday, boi and I went Raffles City to buy donuts from J.CO

We bought a dozen...haha...the ice chocolate is really good...similar to Godiva's...
I find that the best donut is still the original one...coz the rest are too filling..

that's all...
