Sport activity

I didn't know my casual remark will trigger my friend to take into action...haha..I was suggesting to cy that I feel like playing badminton during polymer physics lecture yesterday, and she suddenly very ON lor...we checked the friday schedule, and we two got no Debit card or credit card *don't laugh*, so we travelled all the way to toa payoh to book!!! Well, other places were booked..

When we reached there and registered, the rain started to pour. That aunty that helped us register told us the route to the nearest bus stop, so that we can take back to the interchange. So, we happily follow her instructions, and along the way, the strong wind blew and the rain was on US! What's the point of having shelter? you can literally see the rain splashed onto the sheltered areas. Then, we lost our way. Where was the bus stop? A group of Sec-one-look-a-like students walked past, joking and playing with their umbrellas. We asked them for the directions, and ended up seeing a whole stretch of route to the bus stop WITHOUT shelter!!! What's that aunty thinking? I would rather ran to the traffic lights and get across to opposite side, and can save a trip of bus travel. So, we walked back to the community centre, and were stucked there.

So, we had our lunch there...
hynotising ourselves on how "tasty" the food is...
look at the food!!! the servings were for both of us lar..

Waited for the rain to cease before we walked back to the central. Both of us got our hp straps, I "stole" her green one...haha...then she had to take the blue one...coz she was super fickle-minded..can't decide what colour she want. Then, I chose mine first lor...at first I chose the blue one, then we saw the green one, so I changed to green. She was still choosing her colours then...finally, when she decided on the green one, the two were defective...so, she bo bian had to choose the blue one...so, somehow i stole hers...haha..

Just had my badminton "friendly" match with cy in the morning...so tired now...don't feel like sleeping, coz it seems like a waste of time...anyway, I feel like meeting boi tonight, but I think he can't. hmm, never mind. Shall not ask, don't wish to feel disappointed..hehe...oh no, my left eye seemed to kena infection. It felt better today...was very bad yesterday, a bit pain somemore. Hopefully it will heal soon.

I miss boi....hope to see him asap. haha. not possible, I know.

We bought a dozen...haha...the ice chocolate is really good...similar to Godiva's...
I find that the best donut is still the original one...coz the rest are too filling..

Submission of FYP report

Yes, I've just submitted my FYP report this morning. Don't ask me how is the report, because I don't think it is a good one. Anyway, it's finally over and done. Next will be exams followed by presentation. Just wish to end my uni life nicely.

So, last thursday was my last day in IESE. I've taken some pictures of that place to leave some memories of it here.

Look at the buildings in Innovation Centre...you won't believe that you are actually in NTU.

The door to the contact angle room....

The toilet...

The "garden" along the corridoor....which was quite scary at night.

The stairs that I took to my sup's office.

There are these students who grow such plants, and remove them..I believed they are studying on the types of soil...coz some plants don't seem to grow, but others grew into trees..

my working area....

Basically, the whole IESE looks like a dead town...with some sights of human beings, ocassionally. That will mark the end of all the experiments.

Oh, I changed my blogskin again. Sorry, coz got people complain it's troublesome to scroll left and right...and also, it's kinda childish lar...I quite like this new skin...haha...

Boi asked me how I will react if he suddenly propose to me....I was like, "huh? I don't wish to think about it. I don't wish to imagine it, coz I think it won't be real if I can already predict how I will react."
So, anyway, even if he wants to propose to me, it will be 2-3 years time...so, why should I bother about it now?? haha...
Aiya, 顺其自然 ba...
He was quite "weird" yesterday, talking about how his children will look like, what he will do with his children...bla bla bla....well, I was ok with discussing on such topics...But I do fear that if I have any problem, which means, if I'm *touchwood* barren, how? all these dreams will be shattered...I mean, maybe I'm pessimistic, but there is always such possibilities. Maybe I watched too much dramas ba....I don't know. I just don't wish to talk about "our" children, as who knows, having children may become a privilege rather than something for granted in future???? yar, I don't look at things on the bright side until everything is confirmed...that's me.
so, just pray hard that I am able to lead a simple and healthy life. :)

Alright, gotta study...it's been a long long time since I'm home so early, like today...haha...

FYP

*ppppphhhhhheeeeewwwww*

finally, I've completed my FYP report and submitted to my sup for last round of editting. I've been stuck at home the whole day to complete it. Hopefully it won't turn out to be erroneous. haha.

SO, now I shall slack a bit before I go bathe.

FYP. This abbreviation is indeed interesting. Well, the intended meaning should be Final-year Project, but somehow there are many other meanings to it...haha..
things like Fail Your Project, Finish Your Project, or even F**k you, Project (if FYP really torture you so much..haha.)

A thought just came across my mind....now I can understand why people feel so happy, even joy in tears, on their convocation. Yup, it's the FYP and exams that have brought the joy to it. Just imagine, you have a whole year, not really, a few months to rush your FYP and report, then exams come....followed by FYP presentation, which falls on the week after exam!!!! so you have to prepare your speech and slides in between....and you can eventually throw everything after your presentation, oh, not forgetting to submit your final report to the General Office (GO) lar...haha..yar, it's that torturing. NOW you know why people can get stress until they cry over FYP.

Convocation marks the end of your hardwork, which apparently, is the start of another long journey in search of work. (at least it's my case) Well, I would really wish to have boi there for my convocation....just don't wish to be alone...since he played an important role in my uni life, I hope he will be present to share my 'achievement' and joy. :)

ooh, thank boi for fetching me home on monday....it's very far from his office, I know. but I really appreciate his effort in driving all the way to boon lay to fetch me. I feel so happy...boi always say I am easily glad...it's the little things that count...so, even a small little action can make me happy. Being happy means your effort is appreciated k, so don't say I get happy easily....haha...

ok, shall go bathe now...

loads to update

Over the normal weekend...

Saturday
Boi and I went to this place called Nibbles. It sounded funny when you say you pay money for feeding these fishes with your feet. I was a bit paranoid, at first, not sure if the swarmp will come attacking your feet and cause pain. It was not!!! It is quite itchy initially, then it becomes interesting...you can slowly feel the fishes' mouths nibbling on your skin...it doesn't hurt at all. haha. I'm sorta addicted to it, and I would want to go back again...oh, the foot scrub is good too...those who want to go, should try.

In the evening, had our dinner at NYDC before we bought a cake for my mum's birthday..

The cake.

My two sisters...

(I don't know why the pic is distorted)

Sunday
Spent some time at PS before travelling to boi's house...it's his grandma's birthday...hehe..
Had birthday cake again!!!
took a big group photo ( which was in Boi's camera)...

Then, we headed to Turf City for dinner...

Food was not bad, but had to wait for very long....first time managed to have everyone to one table..haha...

Boi's aunt & family

This cute little girl (boi's youngest cousin) who always disturb boi...haha...oh, she doesn't want her photo to be taken....so we have this...

A photo of Boi's grandma and me (a bit blur)...

Boi's GPS phone is giving him stupid directions....the routes were weird and, I'm not sure whether it is short or not...haha...anyway, he was quite angry with the directions it gave. He threw a bit of temper yesterday while driving home from Turf City....hmm, shall not elaborate...we all kept quiet while he drove... :)

The day ended well with a great dinner and a great companion...

I looked a bit retarded in this photo....haha...

Back to old days

Shiwen initiated chat with me while I was doing my FYP. Let me think, it's been SIX long years since we chatted. I enjoyed conversation as it has somehow brought me back to the old secondary school days. We talked about our lives now, and where we planned to go after we graduate, not forgetting her surveys. haha. Talked a bit about the past too.

And we drew one conclusion....

why we both have the same mentality? and our 'past' were similar...."what a copycat!", I said.
Well, I do think that there are quite a number of coincidence in our lives ba. She mentioned that I didn't change a bit. Hmm, is that true? I'm really not sure. Ever since I went into NYJC, I sort of change my character to suit the environment. Couldn't really recall what I am in secondary school days. Yar, my pea-sized brain can't possibly contain much information, sad to say. She also 'blamed' me for leaving TPJC, deserted her and my TK fellow schoolmates. haha. I regretted and not-so-regretful with this decision. All these are long long stories....

Let me first introduce who Shiwen is....oh, just scrolled through my past entries, this person's name wasn't in any of the posts....so can imagine how long ago it has been. However, she appeared quite frequently on my tagboard. That's her way of keeping-in-touch, I think. :)

She was my Sec 3 & 4 classmate. We both took art...haha..those good old days in art room..*grin* together with another girl, named Pei Pei. We were very famous for failing English....haha...and Mr Tan K. C. had a hard time teaching the three of us...ok, shall not disclose too much of my lousy subject. This Shi Wen was a vegetarian (not sure about now)...and during first three months in our great time in TPJC, I had been eating vegetarian food, coz of her lar..

here is a long ago photo. From left: Pei pei, Shi Wen, me and Raz outside Art room in TK..

ooh, I don't have any scanner, so I took a photo of the photo...and it turns out to be quite blur...haha...

anyway, I'm happy that we are finally meeting after we graduate. So looking forward to it...she must be honoured after seeing this.. *grin*

Gathering

Had a gathering with yu, wen & rol @ JP last monday. Before I start, I have to thank them for travelling all the way to Boon Lay, because I had my FYP in NTU till 7pm. :)

We only meet up during anyone of us' birthday. This time round is yu's (14 Mar).
Had an average dinner at Siam Kitchen...don't know who suggested to go there...the food was worse than what I ate at a small thai "restaurant" at Shaw Tower. What's worse is, wen got her serviette with a layer of dust!!! quite disgusting...Then, we went to Coffee Bean for a drink....actually was there to treat yu with a SLICE of cake...haha...we chatted till 10 plus before we headed home.

Glad to have met up with them...updated each other with our own stuff...and shared some comical senarios that we encountered. Though I was quite troubled with my fyp for the whole day, their presence and laughters just helped me to forget my work for the few hours..hehe...Hope there are more meet-ups in future.

Before I end, a picture of the four of us a few years back. We looked so young then...

Nostalgia

Every as and when, I will have this feeling. How I wish I can get back to those times whereby I can wear uniform to school. Perhaps it's due to EA's move, I started to think of those times when I travelled to Clarke Quay to meet boi after school, loitered at Central while waiting for him, having great dinners around that area, walking to Funan for Sakae, walking down to Cityhall (during weekends) to save the parking fees, etc. I missed that place, though small, it was filled with laughters. I missed the times where boi and I walked down from Riverwalk to Chinatown to "shop", and I missed the times when I can walked past his office (though I didn't see him), and it makes his presence felt. I missed the times when I can walk to his office from my home, and those times when I'm working at Chan Brothers, I can meet him after work for a short chat.

The feeling is so sad, as these will never happen again.

It's not the first time having this feeling...Still remembered in my secondary school days, I enjoyed the days travelling with my friends, sending them home, and loitering at Parkway. But now, these people are no longer close, even Parkway has changed its appearance.

In JC, those choir friends who were once very closed to, were no longer close now, and the school has changed, as well.

Time flies. It really flies fast. Soon, I will leave this uni, and I'm not sure if I will miss this place. haha.

Quiz today

Set my alarm clock at 5.30am today to study for my advanced bio quiz..
Was quite keen at first, studied a chapter or more.
Then, my eyes started to close and soon, I fell asleep. When I woke up, it was already 7.45am. I'm late!!!

Yeah, I was 5 minutes late for school as well as for the quiz. Was panting madly while trying to focus on the questions. I scribbled quite a lot of things onto that two pieces of foolscap, hopefully I can do well this time.

I wasn't done with my FYP yet, though I know today is the submission of the first draft...I will submit asap..hope my supervisor can help me check on some stuffs. I'm super lagged behind. Hope I can finish them asap.

I am busy, but the rainy weather brings the cold wind, and it makes me feel sleepy.
